Sur scène, le baryton Benoît Déchelotte a récemment joué Scapin dans l’île de Merlin, Gardefeu dans la vie parisienne, Guglielmo dans Così fan tutte, Le comte dans les noces de Figaro, Escamillo et Moralès dans Carmen, ou encore Belcore dans L’elisir d’amore. Il a reçu le Grand Prix 2023 du concours les maîtres du chant, ainsi que le 2e prix du concours international Canari. Il a également reçu la prestigieuse bourse de la fondation International Opera Award.
En récital il s’est notamment illustré lors du Oxford international song festival, et forme le duo Epicure avec le pianiste Valentin Barray, en croisant les arts de la table et la musique.
Après avoir étudié avec Marcin Habela, Benoît a obtenu son MPerf à la Guildhall School of Music and Drama et son artist diploma à l’école Normale de Musique. Il a également été jeune talent de l’Académie Philippe Jaroussky 2022-2023.
Benoît a commencé à étudier le piano à l’âge de 5 ans, puis s’est tourné vers l’orgue au Conservatoire de Rouen, où il a obtenu son DEM en 2013, puis en perfectionnement avec Éric Lebrun. Il se produit désormais régulièrement en tant que soliste ou accompagnateur.
On stage, french baritone Benoît Déchelotte has recently played Scapin in Merlin's Island, Gardefeu in La Vie Parisienne, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, The Count in The Marriage of Figaro, Escamillo and Moralès in Carmen, and Belcore in L'elisir d'amore. He received the 2023 Grand Prix des maîtres du chant competition, as well as the 2nd prize of the Canary International Competition. He has also received the prestigious scholarship of the International Opera Award.
In recital he has distinguished himself at the Oxford International Song Festival, and forms the duo Epicure with pianist Valentin Barray, crossing tableware and music.
After studying with Marcin Habela, Benoît obtained his MPerf at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and his artist diploma at the École Normale de Musique. He was also a young talent of the Philippe Jaroussky Academy 2022-2023.
Benoît began studying piano at the age of 5, then turned to the organ at the Rouen Conservatory, where he graduated in 2013, then in refined his skills with Éric Lebrun. He now performs regularly as a soloist or accompanist.
